Emergency Relief

Emergency Relief

Every now and then life gets difficult, every one of us has experienced that. But it doesn’t have to stay difficult. That’s where S.A.F.E.Centre comes in.  Christies Beach Baptist Church (CBBC) has been helping people in our community for more than 50 years.  Even if we can’t help, we will journey with you to find the people, places, and services that can.

Emergency Relief
The Emergency Relief (ER) program provides assistance to people in financial crisis. This could include food parcels, PBS pharmacy medication, referrals to other Agencies, and advice on possible avenues for gaining financial support.  Many of our team of trained volunteers have been through financial crises themselves, so they know the importance of treating people in a non-judgmental way.

ER is open to everyone, and our trained volunteers are available to listen to whatever the situation is, and they will always strive to find someone who can best advise you.

Our laundry and shower facilities are now fully open and proving to be a welcome addition to the services provided to those going through tough times.  Contact the office if you’d like to use them.
